Welcome to Hemlock School

Mission Statement:

The Garden City School District seeks to create an environment for learning which enables each student the opportunity to grow as an individual as well as a group member while striving to achieve the optimal level of academic, social and personal success.

This month’s Behind the Scenes: Employee Spotlight is Ms. Kathy Cocoman, a first grade teacher at Hemlock Primary School. Ms. Cocoman has been a primary/elementary teacher in the Garden City School District since 1985. “Ms. Cocoman is a talented teacher who works tirelessly with all learners, helping them achieve their very best,” commented Hemlock Principal Audrey Bellovin.   more

This month’s Behind-the-Scenes: Employee Spotlight is Mrs. Pam Smith, Senior Typist Clerk at Hemlock Primary School. Mrs. Smith has worked in the district for over 20 years and was selected for this distinction by the staff of Hemlock.  more
